Paper-printed, wood-mounted Orthodox Icon.  10 x 15cm.

This icon, more properly called the "Hospitality of Abraham", was painted by Andrej Rublev circa 1422-27.  It depicts the appearance of the three angels to Abraham at Mamre, as described in Genesis 18. Andrej Rublev (born in the 1360s, died circa 1427-1430) is considered to be the greatest medieval Russian painter of Orthodox icons and frescoes.
