All made from blended beeswax (giving a rich, natural ivory colour) and all hand finished in England. The candles are made using only traditional methods. They are produced in small runs by hand, using the finest ingredients (and using natural and sustainable materials wherever possible). This results in an end product that we feel is a superior finished candle. All candles contain a high percentage of beeswax. Beeswax has a number of important features: it is non-toxic and non-allergenic it burns for 40% longer than paraffin wax it gives off more light (emitting a brighter, whiter light than paraffin wax that has a 'golden halo') it tends to burn without dripping and without giving off smoke or soot (unlike paraffin wax) and it is also the only fuel to emit balanced and beneficial negative ions while burning. Furthermore, beeswax is traditionally associated with purity – possibly because it is made only by non-breeding, female ""virgin"" bees!  "
