SINCE 1833, this Benedictine monastery in western France has established the world standard for performance of Gregorian chant. Paraclete Recordings distributes CDs from the Solesmes line that were recorded under the direction of Dom Jean Claire, choirmaster at Solesmes from 1971 - 1996 as well as a digital remastering of the first recordings by the Choir of Solesmes in 1930, under the direction of Dom Gajard.
